Future Viks

The Future Viks program, made up of girls soccer teams at Houck and Parrish middle schools, operates under the umbrella of NSHS Girls Soccer through leadership consisting of NSHS staff coaches, volunteer coaches, and high school players. Each school fields teams during the fall (11v11 outdoor), winter (5v5 futsal/indoor) and spring (11v11 outdoor).

Program goals include:

– Provide opportunities for middle school players of all skill levels to play soccer recreationally to semi-competitively
– Prepare eventual NSHS students (though all others are welcome) for the transition to high school soccer by functioning as an academy with consistent coaching method and curriculum
– Provide quality soccer instruction from experienced coaches and players to build beginning-to-advanced skills and game knowledge
– Have fun playing the beautiful game!

Players interested in joining should contact Coach Erik and/or their school’s respective Enrichment Academy Coordinator (Houck: Melinda Albelo, Parrish: Julie Nordlien).
