The North Salem High School Lady Vikings Soccer program was founded in 1979. Today, the program consistently assembles two teams’ worth of players at the Varsity and Junior Varsity levels. For the 2017 fall season, the program had 11 seniors, 9 juniors, 5 sophomores, and 15 freshmen participating.
Lady Vikings Soccer is committed to fostering development of student-athletes both in and out of the classroom. We pride ourselves on our players excelling in the classroom, on the soccer field, and as people, and always strive to achieve more in these areas. Our philosophy is that young players can always improve, and that being independent decision-makers on the soccer field is both crucial to development as a player and encouraging confidence and self-determination in other aspects of life.
Motivated individuals interested in playing soccer are always encouraged to join the Lady Vikings Soccer program, and are welcomed with open arms by a great group of girls and by the coaches regardless of previous soccer experience and background. Through the good and bad, Lady Vikings stick together, support each other, and face every challenge without fear.
Together we can build something great – whether you’re a soccer player, coach, parent, or fan, we are all part of the same team. And as always, GO VIKS!
